Pop-up Sunday

Posted on

Just over a week ago, I attended “Pop-Up Sunday” at Ornamentea in Raleigh.  The temporary retail space sells a variety of merchandise.  This is a community of short-term shops on the fourth Sunday of the month from March to November at 509 N West Street.  Such fun to see shoppers eager to purchase unique products.  Oh, and the faces of these two little girls.

I always like to check out new things, so, I went to explore a bit with my camera.

Elena is a multi-talented artist in Raleigh.  I’m not just saying that because she’s my daughter-in-law.  She participated in this market that day, bringing examples of her new work.  You can see her story and unique vision at elenacaron.com.  Elena’s beautiful artwork may be purchased or special pieces commissioned.

A sweet, gorgeous couple in Elena’s neighboring space caught my attention.  That’s them in the featured image as well as those below.

Charmie and Aaron left their full-time jobs in Austin, Texas, and headed out for “adventure and creative independence”, collecting handcrafted items and vintage goods from around the world.  You can see their products and their adventure at newcropshop.com
